André is a zoologist turned MBA, and is currently the Caribbean commercial manager for one of the world’s best loved brands, Virgin Atlantic Airways. He is also the founder of GET Inc., a consultancy company that brings together some of the brightest minds in behavioural change and performance improvement. André has personally given keynote speeches and workshops for thousands of participants, in over one hundred organizationals globally.
In 2005, André completed his first book, “The Sword & The Spirit,” a fable written to teach negotiation skills. In its foreword, Professor Lawrence Susskind of Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation (PON) says that André’s book: “…illustrates more clearly what we mean by a ‘mutual-gains approach to negotiation’ than one hundred repetitions of the theory could accomplish on their own.” That same year, André presented his paper, “The Muscles of Imagination,” at the Harvard/ESSEC conference, “New Trends in Negotiation Training” held in Paris.
André’s two most recent pocket-guide publications “Inventobook,” and “Speak and Slide. How to UNLEARN PowerPoint,” are designed to help with creativity and corporate storytelling. On the software side, André is on the founding teams of several startups, including “CaribShopper,” a store-to-door e-commerce solution for the region, and, “Stella Surveys/Stella Leadership,” developed to measure and improve business leadership while reducing HR effort. His learning platform, “Atomic Gurus,” was created to nudge learners forward using micro-lessons, as well as his live workshops.
André specializes in Lean Research methods using qualitative interview techniques developed by MIT D-Lab and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and sentiment analysis using his proprietary software, Trend Cone. Of particular mention, is his coaching on sales prospecting in his “Fearless Fortune” workshop, which prepares participants to develop new business contacts with total confidence. André’s prospecting app at bonXup.com gives sales managers the easiest way to recognise sales performance gaps and introduce measures to improve sales activity.
All of André’s ventures have a common theme—execution through simplification
